Our client creates the requiredtechnology driven solutions, providing a range of services, based around the production of high quality e-learning ande-testing content and associated tools.Our client has the skills, experience and flexibility to offer a wide range of e-learning development services:E-Learning DesignCourseware DevelopmentE-Testing Item DevelopmentE-Testing Tools DevelopmentConsultancyTrainingServer SolutionsIn the past year our client produced approximately 1,000 hours of e-learning materials, working with over 70 differentauthors across a range of disciplines from Adult Basic Skills to Advanced Laser Engineering Techniques. They convertexisting courses from video, paper, slide and mixed media, including working with the trainer to capture their bestpractice. They also organise course scripting by established experts, providing the training where necessary in how todesign courses for new media delivery.ROLE:As the Creative Director and Senior Instructional Designer the candidate will co-ordinate and supervise the work of anexisting instructional design team. As a member of the team, you will work with client-side subject matter experts todesign creative e-learning solutions that are highly graphics oriented. You will help create instructional creativestrategies, design and author course content, and work closely with project managers, Web designers and Web producers.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:The candidate is likely to have a degree in multimedia, psychology or communications, with an additional 5+ years in aCBT/e-learning company. You should also have experience of developing e-learning content and ensuring the quality oftraining materials. Candidates must come from a training background with a good grasp of technology and the design ofe-learning training materials. The candidate must have client-facing experience, good writing skills and a real passionfor e-learning.Essential Requirements Graduate with background in e-learning or training A minimum of 5 years experience as an Instructional designer in e-learning company or in-house e-learning teamSpecialist requirements A minimum of 2 years experience as a Senior Instructional designer or Lead Designer. Good Training Needs Analysis skills Knowledgeable about learning theory and practice An excellent understanding of training design for multimedia / web Proven experience of developing e-learning content to meet specified budgets and timescales Excellent oral and written communication skills Mature client-facing skills A natural team player with the ability to communicate within a multidisciplinary team including programmers, designersand project managersWould also be an advantage Project management experience Creative thinker Knowledge of Human-computer interaction or interaction design Good presentation skills, for giving seminars or stand-up trainingTechnical skills Windows 95/98 Competent using Microsoft Office programmes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Familiar with multimedia/web programmes and technologies Good keyboard and typing skillsPersonal Skills Personable Self motivated, and can take initiative Ability to work in a team and as an individual Organised, methodical, meticulous Passionate about e-learningIn line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work inthe UK or EU.
