Our client is part of a strong global network of member firms with 9,500 partners and staff working in 22 offices across the UK providing audit, tax and advisory services; they are looking to recruit an experienced assistant manager to work from their Southampton office. The Tax Compliance Service group was formed to provide a total tax service and to build long term relationships with clients. The TCS team based in Southampton provides advice to a variety of manufacturing, retail, distribution and service industry clients ranging from listed plcs and UK subsidiaries of overseas groups to owner managed businesses. This role will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients with minimal manager supervision and to be the main contact in providing this service to clients. For each client, working as a member of the client service team you will provide corporate tax advisory and compliance services including being the principal contact with smaller client on day to day tax. ACA/ACCA or ATII Qualified with proven tax experience at managerial level, excellent report writing skills and strong computer skills.It is accepted that applicants may need support with their development in some areas depending on their background and previous experience however you must have proven experience of assisting at a managerial level. You will have a commercial approach and ability to understand and take an interest in clients businesses coupled with an ability to develop and maintain relationships. You will be comfortable working effectively without close supervision, be analytical and have excellent communication skills. |
