Description:

Contract Manager - Electrical, Mechanical and Pumps (EM&P).To support with the planning, control and management of EM&Passets upon the Piccadilly Line. Responsible for ensuring that assets under his/her control perform in a safe andreliable manner to meet client and legal requirements, corporate standards and business goals. Accountabilities: Provideclient with safe, reliable and fully maintained EM&P assets. Demonstrate in practice and by reporting, the maximumavailability and reliability of EM&P assets. Monitor and improve business performance in respect of EM&P assets andensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, codes standards and client requirements. Management of part of adiscipline annual budget including monitoring, upkeep and reporting of financial records. Manage asset impact caused byimprovement works associated with EM&P assets. Responsible for ensuring that Electrical contractors are adhering to safesystems of work with particular emphasis on Construction, Design and Management regulations, method statements, riskassessments. Manage EM&P asset Maintenance Contract, including preparation and evaluation of tenders. Maintain aninformation management system. Regular upkeep of asset registers for assets. Monitoring and regular update of disciplineMaintenance Plans. Responsible for delivery of statutory requirements, e.g. upkeep of CDM related Records. Requiredskills & experience: Minimum HNC or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline. Minimum 2 years experience withEM&P assets of a type similar to those used by the client, preferably in a railway environment. Leadership skills andexperience of managing teams including contractors. Excellent oral and written skills are required. Experience ofbudgetary management. Working knowledge of IT systems and data base information handling. Knowledge of Regulations andBritish Standards relating to EM&P assets including current codes of practice. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislationgenerally relevant to installation and maintenance activities including record keeping requirements. PLEASE NOTE: The Jobholder will also be placed on the EM&P call Roster and is expected to be on call for one week in 7 weeks. On call isdefined as 24hrs on continuous call for 7 days and will commence on a Monday at 09:00hrs.
