This leading supplier of specialist medical equipment is urgently seeking an experienced Contract Engineer/ProjectManager to cover the London/South East region. Reporting to the Regional Engineer, the main purpose of the role will beto manage a team to effectively and profitably complete installation contracts from order stage to commissioning andhandover, within the constraints of high quality standards and safe working practices whilst developing good workingrelationships with key hospitals to maximise tendering opportunities.Responsibilities will include:" Establishing/maintaining a motivated site team working to high productivity levels with a very high standard ofworkmanship and complying with best Health and Safety practice. Sub-contract labour must also be managed and controlled." Achieve company and customer satisfaction by planning and programming of materials and labour in conjunction withresource constraints and customer programmes." Achieve contract completion at quoted or improved contribution by the use of monitoring and project control methods. Torecognise and achieve payment for extra work or variation works." Build good working relationships in key hospitals in the areas so that the company is aware of all tenderingopportunities. Carry out surveys at hospitals to identify materials required. Enter on too quick quote system and assistManager in preparation of tender with regard to likely competitive intensity and hospital requirements." To ensure all ancillary activities necessary for the completion of the contract are carried out, eg. data packcompletion, site storage, material delivery and on-site liaison." To ensure that the job holder and reports comply with all the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act,including CDM regulations and any new legislation. To be responsible for the application of safety and health/losscontrol policies in the department and for adhering to quality standards and practices." To ensure all company work is completed in line with the relevant quality standards and that the company maintains areputation for the highest quality.Qualifications:To be considered for this role candidates MUST be educated to at least HNC level in Mechanical Engineering and have atleast 2 years experience in contract management. You must also have in depth knowledge of C11, HTM 2022 contractconditions, health and safety practice and quality standards relating to the design, installation and maintenance ofmedical gas systems. You must be computer literate and possess excellent supervisory skills. CAD experience would be adistinct advantage.Salary: GBP 30,000 + car & benefits |
