An International PQS firm is looking for contractual dispute expert to lead a team for the whole of the Northwest. This role will also involve some international travel yet not as heavily as most roles of this ilk. Applicants will be intelligent and ambitious and be conversant with all types of dispute resolution. The successful applicant will be work alongside a Partner or Associate to lead a diverse range of related commissions and to form and develop relationships with leading industry clients by providing the highest standard of service. Dispute services include expert witness, litigation and arbitration support, adjudication services and ADR such as mediation and expert determination, as well as dispute avoidance, project recovery and general contractual advice to the industry and to other parts of the business. A post-graduate qualification together with membership of a construction law related professional body would be an advantage but is not essential.Undertaking forensic delay analysis for a variety of clients as regard for claims, adjudication, arbitration and litigation Develop personally so that accreditation is achieved as an Expert Witness Apply the highest standards of service delivery through the application of developed tools whilst always aware Interface with all departments throughout the company to provide internal advice on planning and programming related issues. Lead and develop commissions with our existing clients. Develop new business opportunities in conjunction with the global CA community. Reporting direct to an Associate or Partner to provide specialist claims and dispute related work on a wide range of projects and with a challenging and varied workload. Tasks include analysis and forensic investigation of time related claims, preparation of supporting schedules, review and comment on pleadings, legal submissions and contracts. Provide support through effective communication with solicitors, consultants and other experts. Assist the existing CA team with internal and external marketing of the key CA services. Evidenced experience of having successfully undertaken forensic delay analysis. An energetic and motivated professional with natural drive and innovative flair together with a knowledge of law and a desire to succeed in developing capability in field of forensic delay analysis. A tenacious individual who asks questions, listens to answers, defines problems and implements change. Ability to sift large volumes of data to identify the key issues and present an argument in a concise manner / Ability to adapt to suit demands of the client and of changing priorities within a varied workload The candidate will be required to travel internationally for short periods on specific commissions.
