(If you do not have direct experience in any area butsomething similar please do mention this)PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Work on a range of defence projects involve: Definition of requirements and assumptions. Collation of relevant data. Use of models. Development of tailored models and the evaluation & analysis of data/ results. Extensive use of spreadsheet tools. Projects will be a mix of performance and cost assessments.EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDEssential Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline (higher degree(s) in relevant subjects would be an advantage). 4 years experience in modelling and analysis (this may include a relevant MSc, PhD and/or work experience). General defence awareness and/or experience of working on defence-related projects. Ability to liase effectively with clients and colleagues to help define & clarify requirements and collate relevantdata/ information. Experience of Developing models and Supplementary spreadsheet tools (add-ins such as @RISK) & VBA. Complete familiarity and confidence in using spreadsheets for data analysis & presentation. Some experience in cost modelling and analysis. Effective written and oral communication skills. Flexible approach to work, able to work alone or as part of a team.Desirable Good understanding of the principles, guidelines and methods used in the cost analysis of military equipments, systems& capabilities. Experience of developing models to analyse cost data. An appreciation of the defence acquisition process (SMART procurement and the CADMID cycle) and an understanding of thewhole life costs associated with equipment procurement. Experience of conducting investment appraisals to support the Combined Operational Effectiveness and InvestmentAppraisal process.PACKAGE INCLUDES 22 days holiday per annum plus 3 discretionary days during the Christmas - New Year period plus Public Holidays. Life Assurance Cover of 4 x annual salary. Company Sick Pay after one month''s calendar service. Contributory Pension Scheme. Permanent Health Insurance (subject to becoming a member of the Pension Scheme). Private Medical Insurance - dependant on grade. Hours of work - 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. |
