: Construction Planner - Northamptonshire Our client is a major international contractor, with nearly 30,000 employees worldwide. They are one of the largest construction companies in the UK with an excellent reputation in the industry. They have a diverse portfolio that includes projects within the retail, commercial, healthcare, law & order, education, leisure, residential and government sectors. Their enviable reputation within the industry is demonstrated by the fact that repeat business accounted for over 65% of last year's turnover. Continual success and yet another record setting order book ensured that turnover last year was in excess of GBP 630mn. They have recently won a large scale project in the Lower East Midlands area. Due to this, they are a seeking a Construction Planner to be based on site. The project has a value of over GBP 60mn, and is of a design and build nature. The development consists of an underground car park, several large scale retail units and over 350 apartments. This demonstrates the fact that this role will provide you with a large degree of variety. Essential skills: -The ideal candidate will have spent at least 5 years in a construction planning position -This client uses PowerProject planning software, so experience of this is essential -Preference will be given to candidates from an engineering background -Experience of working on apartments is highly desirable -Previous site based experience is highly desirable but not essential. -Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with Senior Planners and planning staff internally and both clients and other contractors externally Responsibilities: You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): -Costing and forecasting -Creating detailed project plans -Progress monitoring and progress reporting |
