Our client is currently searching for an IC component engineer to be responsible for the identification, selection,assessment, and approval of electronic components for use in telecommunications systems. This will include verificationof fitness for purpose and commercial availability, and will require liaison with development teams and manufacturingcontractors.Management and administration of records and a central database of component information will also be required.The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:- Extensive knowledge across a wide range of IC components, from simple passives to large-scale microprocessors.- Knowledge of the EU Directive on the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) within the electronics industry- Knowledge of the electronic components supply industry- Telecommunications equipment industry knowledge beneficialPlease call to discuss further.
