Purpose of the job-To manage and develop FMCG Non Food clients, providing them with valuable insights and consultancy which will enable themto better understand their customers, and in so doing generate revenue.Principal responsibilities1. Building Client Relationships & Growing Business by:- Providing consultative support for the client; being seen as an authority on their customer and assisting them indeveloping customer focused strategies to develop both their and our business- Developing detailed account plans and implementing them with the client- Developing strong relationships with all levels of client personnel and developing a good detailed understanding ofclient organisations and their strategies and objectives- Identifying business opportunities by matching the clients products/services to client needs and ensuring customerexpectations are met and or exceeded- Through advanced understanding of client needs and strategies, direct support teams in the development of new productsand services.2. Coaching & Knowledge transference by:- Providing support and coaching to Client Managers and Client Executives in the team, particularly on the clientsprocesses & methodologies and the products & services- Spreading knowledge of the client portfolio within the company as well as maintaining accurate knowledge of the client,the key contacts, and projects that have been completed.3. Delivery/Project Management- To project manage relevant Analysis & Insight projects in the client base to ensure work is delivered on time andexceeds client expectations- To work with other teams to ensure appropriate solutions are used for each project- To provide on site support for the productised solutions & reports which are being used by the client to maximiseeffectiveness & value of the solution- To explore opportunities for generating new business within the client which have not yet been exploited- To collect feedback on each project to ensure reviews can deliver meaningful measurement of client satisfaction.ProfileEducation/Professional Qualifications:- graduate calibre required with a minimum 2:2 degree preferably or able to demonstrate continued education and learning.Essential Work Experience:- Must have experience of working within the retail environment in either an agency, FMCG supplier or working for aretailer- Must have knowledge of Customer Insight, Customer Management Marketing, CRM (not Siebel), Category Management as wellas Account Management and Client facing skills- A minimum of 4 years commercial experience in a sales, marketing, category management or buying role.Desirable Work Experience-- Experience of the supplier relationship with a major multiple.- A previous target based selling role.- Experience with EPOS and/or consumer data.Skills / Personal Qualifications-Intellectual-- Must have a strong intellect with the capacity to understand data, data analysis and data interpretation methodologiesand be able to communicate it simply- A realistic and effective planner.Communication-- An excellent communicator able to network, build relationships, sell ideas and solutions- Will be outgoing articulate and literate, presenting him/herself as a professional at all times.- A team player with a flexible, positive, 'can do' attitude. Must be knowledge sharing, ambitious and outgoing.Motivation-- Must be self-motivated and disciplined and able to work on own initiative.
