Description:

Software Engineer required to work in a technically challenging and stimulating development environment. The product you will work on creates significant efficiencies at times of heavy demand on telecoms networks, specifically during data file transfers. You should have a strong grounding of writing applications in C/C++ in a UNIX environment and have a knowledge of network protocols, particularly TCP/IP. A knowledge of socket level programming would be highly desirable as well as any low level UNIX or LINUX experience. Some experience of MySQL or Perl would also be beneficial but this is not essential. You should also feel comfortable working as lead developer on a project and if necessary supervising more junior members of the team. This is however a 'hands on' role.
