Excellent opportunity to work for a World Brand organisation in a high growth sector.The role is within the financial modelling team, which provides modelling and related services to a diverse clientportfolio, centred on the financial industry sector but encompassing other sectors such as consumer retail and public.The services include reviewing and building spreadsheet models, parallel running models in support of securitisationtransactions and providing financial modelling assistance to clients.We work closely with our clients to build and review financial models (usually written in Excel) that support theirdecision making. To deliver this service to our high standards, we require our modellers to demonstrate an understandingin each of the following areas: the spreadsheet formulae, the mechanics of financial statements and financing structures,an understanding of generally accepted tax and accounting principles and the ability to relate these to the situationbeing modelled.Recent examples of our work include: review of a bank model in support of a FTSE 100 merger review of operating model for health service PFI project parallel running of securitisation asset and cashflow models for public offering circularsThe successful candidate will work as part of the Modelling team and report into the Manager. They will be responsiblefor: working with clients to ensure engagements are delivered successfully, meeting their requirements and exceeding theirexpectations supporting other members of the financial modelling team on client engagements whilst retaining responsibility for ownworkload working in cross-disciplinary teams, providing financial modelling skills in support of business transactions becoming a point of contact for client queries and ensuring their resolution and working with other members of the modelling team to identify and develop opportunities.This role would suit a recent graduate who is able to demonstrate the enthusiasm and ability to manipulate and analysefinancial information and approach problems in a logical manner. You may already have some experience of working in anaccounts environment and be looking for your next career move. You will need to be a self-motivated and innovativeindividual with: an ability to work with spreadsheet software (such as Excel). Possession of skills in other modelling and data analysisapplications is an advantage, but not essential good communication skills with an ability to describe complex technical issues clearly and non-technically good analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills quick to assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge and an ability to work effectively as part of a team and also to show initiative when required to work on own.Please send CV and call to discuss
