: This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, ambitious individual to progress their career in business development/ sales of engineering services. Working for a large, well-established organisation who provide engineering, IT and communications services (predominantly within the defence and security sectors), your role will involve identifying new business leads, developing opportunities, as well as developing existing customers and accounts. This role will suit a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who has both commercial acumen and a strong technical/ engineering understanding who is looking for the next step in their sales career. Your specific responsibilities will incorporate; - Identifying and developing new business leads for the technical services business unit - Leading and writing winning bids, including the compilation of cost models - Strategically analysing how success rate in proposals - Competitor analysis - Building relationships with potential partners, suppliers and customers Due to the locations of the company's offices your time is likely to be split between their Gloucestershire and London offices. Previous experience in business development selling a bespoke technical/ engineering service is essential. A background in dealing with the defence/ government sector would be beneficial, but is non-essential. Overall, you will be a hands-on, self-motivated individual who is able to enthuse others and has excellent communication/ presentation skills. The salary will be c. GBP 40-48K (depending on experience) plus benefits.
