Embedded C Software Engineers - Broadcast RJ-0030To GBP 45,000 + Pension, BUPA, Bonus Middlesex/HampshireDue to continued rapid growth this division needs more real time embedded C software engineers. You will be developingtechnically challenging, business critical software to provide flexible solutions for broadcast clients, including settop box middleware or operating system which is used by cable and satellite pay television broadcasters throughout theworld, or developing and integrating software for a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) that is used in 2.5 million homesworldwide. Tools and technologies used in the division include: RTOS operating systems/multitasking, Embedded C, HTML,XML, JavaScript, Java, TCP/IP, UML, VM, Software Version Control (PVCS), Defect tracking (ClearQuest), Cable and PSTNModems, DOCSIS and DVB. To be considered for these roles, you will need: A good honours degree or equivalent in computerscience, electronics engineering or communications engineering, At least 18 months experience developing complex embeddedsystems in C, solid experience of RTOS and use of structured techniques like RTSAD/UML. Experience of any of thefollowing, would be of particular interest: Digital Set Top Box architecture, Cable / Satellite / PSTN Modems, DOCSIS,DVB RC, DVB, TCP/IP, Internet standards or Visual Studio.
