They are responsible for the maintenance and improvement of the roads including nearly a thousand highway structuresranging from large viaducts through smaller road bridges to culverts andSenior Engineers should be chartered Civil engineers with a minimum of five years post chartered experience and be fullyconversant with current design codes for both concrete and steel structures and be able to manage your own schemesthroughout.You will be required to lead a team and will be responsible for the programming, budgeting and delivery of your schemes.Familiarity with finite element analysis, modern strengthening methods and Highways Agency procedures would beparticularly useful.Assistant Bridge EngineersAssistant Bridge Engineers should have a minimum of two years post graduation experience.
