AutoCAD Draughtsman / Design EngineerEast Midlands/CambridgeshireExcellent salary packageTHE COMPANYOur client is an independent, fast-growing specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of high qualitystructural steel fabrications. Over the past 18 months, the company has enjoyed significant success and growth and hasestablished a highly skilled in-house design department. With ongoing growth anticipated they now have an excitingopportunity for an outstanding CAD specialist to join the team.THE ROLEReporting to the Technical Manager you will be a key member of the design team. Your primary function will be to providedetailed fabrication drawings taken from architectural and structural designs. Working to strict deadlines andcontributing to a variety of design projects, this will be a demanding and exciting role within an informal, yet highlypressurised manufacturing environment.THE PERSONIdeally you will be a graduate with at least two years experience in a manufacturing design role, using your CAD skillson a daily basis. You will have an excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, with experience of using 3D CAD design tools.You will need to be highly self-motivated, flexible and intelligent, with good communication skills, and an open and teamoriented approach. Knowledge of structural steel fabrications and of Steelwork British Standards would be advantageous.
