The Role:This role requires an ability to work with relevant international standards in the field of potentially explosiveatmospheres. Therefore, the recruitment process will involve an exploration of the candidates understanding ofprotection concepts and the detail of the application of those concepts.This is a project management and product assessment role. The job holder will be responsible for reviewing andauthorising ATEX test reports and certification documents leading to formal certification under the ATEX directive. Theymay also conduct some product assessment themselves. It is primarily laboratory based although there may be a limitedamount of off site work.Our client is one of the leading independent product assessment companies in the UK. The company is notified under anumber of EU directives including the ATEX directive 94/9/EC which applies to equipment for use in potentially explosiveatmospheres. The company has four laboratories across the UK and is a member of a large International Group. The clientemploys a dynamic workforce, predominantly made up of electrical and electronic engineers, working as test engineers andprofessional engineering consultants.
