Description:

As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for: * Preparation of monthly Inventory balance reconciliations and clearance of reconciling items within the following month * Preparation and control of a reconciling item action plan. This will include meeting with the client's finance and materials and contracts team to clear the reconciling items * Preparation of monthly Inventory reports for distribution to client senior management * Analytical review of monthly movements of Inventory for distribution to client senior management * Control of the financial accounting entries for the disposals process. This includes reconciliation into the accounting system (SAP) of gain or loss on disposal * Prepare Client Service Performance reporting and maintenance of the desktop procedures and QCD * Department focal point for systems issues * Responsible for working with the client to ensure all Sarbanes Oxley requirements are met * Monitor and ensure the departmental performance meets objectives set by the client * Meet weekly with client personnel to pro-actively work solution to Inventory accounting issues * Partake in Ad-hoc projects * Co-ordinate the team's involvement in audits, and draft responsesQualifications * Part-Qualified Accountant * Inventory accounting experience * Good technical knowledge of financial and joint venture accounting in the oil and gas industry * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal skills within the team, across Accenture and with client personnel and vendors * Self motivated and works with minimal supervision * Problem solving * Good SAP, Excel, Word and Access skills * Enthusiastic and innovative * Analytical approachSpecial Considerations * Inventory holding - GBP 58M * Supervision of one other team memberSalary:Depending on experience.Location: Aberdeen
