Description:

The Role: Asbestos Analyst- To ensure technical compliance for all work that is carried out and to liaise closely with the UKAS Technical managerand UKAS Quality manager in accordance with the company UKAS documentation.- To provide quality services and information to clients, must have knowledge of all current Asbestos, health and safetyand CDM regulations.- Arrange meetings with the client or contractor as and when required.- Ensure that preparation of reports are completed in accordance with timescales set and to the required standard.- Participate in the internal and external audit programme for fibre counting, bulk sampling (if approved)), surveyingand airborne fibre monitoring as required.- Compile recommendations and technically review reports as necessary.- To be alert to business opportunities and promote the services of the group.- Implementation and monitoring of safety procedures and statutory safety requirements on the sites.- Provide technical advice as and when required- Prepare health and safety risk assessment and ensure project staff adhere to the assessment.Key Skills:- Good communication skills at all levels, both written and oral- Ability to work on own initiative- Normally at least 6 months experience in the field of asbestos- BOHS S301 and P405 or Certificate of Competence in AsbestosLexia Recruitment Ltd specialise in the recruitment of permanent staff for the Asbestos Industry.
