Theyspecialise in turnkeysolutions for the monitoring of pollutants in ambient air, stack emissions, water and contaminated land.They offer a choice of instrumentation systems for the monitoring of pollutant releases to atmosphere and water.Job title:Area Business Manager MidlandsLocation:Regional, although travel throughout the UK may be required.In this senior position the post holder is expected to contribute to the overall direction of activities and colleaguesin the group as well as to undertake the specific tasks listed below:-Reporting to the UK Sales ManagerPositions reporting to the post:There are no positions reporting directly to the post, but as this is a senior position within the Sales and Marketinggroup, the post holder is expected to provide appropriate direction to junior members of the group from time to time,with the assistance of the Manager responsible.You will determine both current and prospective customers within the Midlands; to establish contact with same, and todetermine their short term requirements from the Company; to begin to build a working relationship with these accounts,in liaison with the Product Managers as required.You will also build relationships between the Company and Clients such that sales of equipment, consultancy services andaftercare services to this client base increase by a minimum level, as predetermined by the UK Sales Manager.Responsibilities:(a) Identifying new customers and market areas and thereafter developing these prospects to their maximum potential(b) Sales of systems and instruments(c) Maintaining an up to date and comprehensive knowledge of the market for the Companys products and services(d) Understanding what the market requires, and the competitive solutions available to it(e) Extending the Companys portfolio of products into the market through an in depth knowledge of what the Company hasavailable, and how this interfaces with (b) & (c); identifying and recommending new products and services as appropriateEducation:Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, such as Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science orsimilar.Experience:Three or more years experience and proven success with direct sales of instrumentation based products via anunderstanding of customer applications and technical requirementsKnowledgeKnowledge of sales and marketing skills within a technical business environment |
