The post presents an opportunity to work on own initiative in developing Architecture from the Birmingham office,alongside our Senior Birmingham based Architect and our Architects based at other offices. This is a real opportunity forthe right candidate to make an impact towards the development and expansion of the Birmingham office.The successful candidate will work with a team of Building and Quantity Surveyors led by a Partner and will be based atour Birmingham office. Good career opportunities.Experience of CAD Release/Autocad 14 an advantage, together with knowledge of MS Project and/or Team Plan, together withgeneral knowledge of Windows and Excel, although training will be provided.Duties include:Preparation of Feasibility sketches/concept designs on a range of new build and refurbishment projects, together withsome project co-ordination and contract administrationPreparation of Specifications (NBS) and working drawings. Ability to work with other professional team members bothinternally and externally appointedSome evening or weekend work may be necessary, such as Planning meetings or local consultation or planning for realevents, attendance at Seminars or Exhibitions to promote Architecture at our Birmingham officeSpecific Administrative Duties:-Signing their own general correspondence.Updating their Progress Reports monthly and/or upon request and submitting to their Group Leader for reviewing prior tohanding to Administration for entering on the database.Preparation of fee folio information and project quality plans.Reviewing and signing Certificates and Notifications of Payment for other Surveyors/ Architects (unless the amountcertified exceeds the Contract Sum in which case an Associate, Group Leader or Partner must review and sign).Drafting fee proposals and invoices for checking by their Group Leader or Partner.In the absence of an Associate within their Group or their Group Leader, reviewing and distributing post and faxes.Hours: 9.00 am to 5.30pm Monday to FridayHolidays: 24 days rising to 25 after 3 years serviceSalary: Negotiable depending on age & experience |
