The Role:We need you to carry out regular audit duties to enable accurate parameter management. This role is aimed at initially maintaining a stable Network and then identification of ways to optimise the overall network performance. You'll also be involved with the analysis of large amounts of call data looking for either step changes or trends.Being an expert in your field we will want you to provide training and / or presentations at various levels to both technical and non-technical audiences on aspects of your role and the technologies in use.Must Haves:To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate the following:- A background in telecommunications or a related industry.- The capability of working unsupervised or as part of a team.- A good head for numbers along with proven statistical analysis skills.Nice to Haves:It would be great if you also had the following:- Technical qualification in an appropriately related subject.- A working knowledge of UNIX systems.- Full UK driving licence.The Department:ANO is a technical department within Orange with responsibility for managing the Air Interface and Base Station Sub System aspects of the Orange GSM and UMTS networks. The department is responsible for maintaining a default parameter set across the key network elements within this area and investigating performance by statistical and survey analysis.These investigations lead to fault resolution, recommendations for alterations to parameters and corrective actions where problems are identified.
