Analytical Chemist - Pharmaceuticals, Ref: 12725 DWOur client is a principal manufacturer for the production of liquid pharmaceuticals and the extraction of plant materialfor the healthcare, food, beverage and cosmetic industries.They have a requirement for an experienced analyst to join their site based in the S.East. The successful candidate willcarry out routine analysis within the department to ensure production schedules are met and are in line with GLP in atimely, cost effective and efficient manner. Also required is to carry out analysis associated with new products/projectsas required.Main Duties:-Sampling and analysis of raw materials, bulk and finished products according to written procedures.-Approval of reports, procedures and specifications.-Liasing with other departments to provide best possible service.-To ensure that company quality standards are met and customer quality requirements are fulfilled.-Perform method development and other investigative work.-To ensure that all company health and safety standards defined in analytical documentation or by management are fullyunderstood and implemented.-To draw to the attention of the Quality Assurance Manager any non-standard occurrences.-To ensure that all machinery and work areas are properly cleaned and used for safe and efficient operation.-To assist in the continuous improvement of the department and the overall operations of the company.-To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time.You will have a minimum of 2+ years experience of working within a pharmaceutical analytical department, with a variedbackground in analytical chemistry. Safety conscientious and aware of the latest Health, Safety and Environmentalregulations, as well as working to GLP standards.You will also be computer literate and have experience of using LIMS software.Based in the S.East, the role is a permanent position offering a salary based upon experience, GBP 18,000 to GBP 20,000.
