Our client, one of the UKs leading Environmental Consultancies, is looking to appoint a high calibre Air QualityConsultant to work with their expanding EIA team in Manchester.Suitable candidates will hold a Degree in Environmental Science or a similar discipline. Membership of an appropriateprofessional body would also be desirable.Candidates will have 3-4 years experience working in environmental consultancy, ideally on environmental impactassessment (EIA) projects. Experience of ADMS modelling is essential for this role and use of ambient air qualitymonitoring equipment would also be beneficial. Candidates must be computer literate and able to effectively manipulatedata. Good written and verbal communication skills are required and candidates should have an organised approach to work.Commercial experience is also important as candidates will need an awareness of client needs and factors that influencethem and be able to identify opportunities to develop client contact. The ability to react efficiently to multiple tasksand tight deadlines is essential and candidates should have good team working skills.The successful applicant will undertake revenue earning environmental consultancy projects, primarily in the area of airquality assessments associated with property and commercial developments, especially in the field of traffic movement.Daily tasks will include management and implementation of ADMS modelling and interpretation exercises, design andimplementation of ambient air quality surveys, data collection and interpretation, writing assessment reports andundertaking business development initiatives.
