Produce efficient, usable and well documented systems to satisfy the needs of all Users of the developed solution, withinagreed time scales & budgets and to anagreed quality & style of presentation.Develop / maintain efficient, usable, well constructed and well documented program code to specification within timescales & budgets.Systems Analysis, Design & Programming :-1. Contribute to the development of departmental standards governing the Design and Programming stages of the SystemsDevelopment Life Cycle (SDLC).2. Ensure that work carried out conforms to departmental standards.3. Create Systems Design documents & Program specifications consistent with agreed Project/Task Terms of Reference.4. Analyse and agree requirements with the Sponsor and to produce Requirements Definition statements/Program AmendmentRequests (PAR).5. Produce Systems Design proposals and agree same with the Sponsor and the Head of Project.6. Identify the potential for the re-engineering of business processes whose efficient operations might be contingentupon a system or its design.7. Design & optimise physical database structures, cognisant of the usage to which they will be put, the need for diskusage optimisation and performanceparameters as defined by the Design team.Systems Construction :-1. Agree and document all screen design and data requirements with the Sponsor through prototyping exercises.2. Carry out a continual Requirements review process during the Application build stage, to document changes toRequirements and to refer such changes to the Head of Project for agreement.3. System test delivered systems/routines/programs to ensure the accuracy, efficiency and robustness of the developedcode.4. Work with the Design team on logical & physical data models.Must have recent experience of Adabas / Natural.Knowledge of SQL 2000, Access, VB, ASP, DTS, Windows, UNIX would be very useful |
