Our client a large business services provider based in West London are actively seeking an experience Accounts Payable Manager to join their expanding finance team.The role will involve managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the Accounts Payable department to ensure invoices are paid correctly.Your principle responsibilities will include:Maximise the teams efficiency and productivity by continually reviewing their processes, and reorganising the team if necessary.Ensure the team strictly adheres to new policies, and policy updates, relating to payments to suppliers, providing training when necessary.Report the teams performance and progress against the key performance indicators, and devise new performance measures.Manage and develop all individuals in the team, undertaking monthly performance reviews, monitoring progress, giving feedback, and determining training needs.Support the recruitment of new team members to the team when vacancies arise, and training them when they arrive.Inspire the team to continually meet the dynamic needs of the businessSupport the team in dealing with challenging queries and complaints, acting as the teams first point of referral.Ensure all requisite controls are fully exercised to ensure overpayments and mispayments to suppliers are never made, educating the business on these controls and preventing fraud.Ensure payments to suppliers are made promptly, and to schedule.Manage the month end processes and the payment run processes.This role will involve managing 10 accounts payable clerks, therefore previous supervisory experience is a must (as least 5 years). You must have at least 5 years experience within accounts payable and be proficient within Oracle.In return you will receive a competitive salary up to GBP 30,000 along with many additional benefits.
